The Opportunity:
Are you an ambitious procurement or supply chain professional looking to move beyond day-to-day sourcing into a broader strategic supply chain management role?
My client, a leading FTSE 100 organisation, is investing heavily in transforming the way it manages its supply chain. As part of this journey, they are continuing to build their Supply Chain Management function and are looking to appoint Supply Chain Managers across Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2–5 years' experience who is ready to take greater ownership, manage supplier relationships independently and become the supply chain lead for their region.
Unlike traditional procurement positions, this role focuses on strategic supplier management, stakeholder engagement and driving supply chain performance rather than running sourcing events or transactional procurement activities on a daily basis.
About the Role:
Joining a growing Supply Chain Management team, you'll take ownership of your own geographical region, acting as the key supply chain contact for both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
You'll be trusted to manage your region independently, building strong supplier partnerships, driving performance improvements and identifying opportunities to add value across the business. This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes ownership and is comfortable making decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
