About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support an advanced AI training initiative. In this remote contract role, you will leverage your software engineering expertise to design, solve, and validate complex programming challenges that improve next-generation AI systems. Previous AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop realistic software engineering environments for AI evaluation.
- Debug complex applications and implement new features.
- Refactor existing codebases to improve maintainability and scalability.
- Optimize software performance and system efficiency.
- Create high-quality reference solutions and validation workflows.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to maintain technical quality.

Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Excellent knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design.
- Experience with debugging, feature development, and code refactoring.
- Strong understanding of performance optimization and scalable software architecture.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (preferred, not required).
- Experience conducting code reviews and following software engineering best practices.
