The Client

Our client is a highly regarded discretionary investment manager with a strong focus on data‑driven decision making. They operate with a small, agile structure and are recognised for their commitment to excellence in trading and technology.

Their in‑house technology function spans IT infrastructure, software development, and quantitative analysis, supporting all aspects of market data processing and trading activity. The environment is fast‑paced, collaborative, and highly technical, where code quality, performance, and low‑latency systems are top priorities. Engineers work across domains, contribute to architectural discussions, and help shape scalable, robust systems.

We have partnered with this team for several years and have a close, direct working relationship with the CTO. We have successfully placed multiple individuals into the group and can provide detailed insight into the team structure, culture, and expectations.

The Role

The client is embarking on a major initiative to unify and expand their core systems, bringing more of this capability in‑house. They are in search for senior C# developers to work on a contract basis. This will initially be a 12 month contract.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
