Senior C# Engineer, Front Office | Commodities & Energy Trading | £140,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Senior C# Engineer, Front Office | Commodities & Energy Trading

A Senior C# Engineer is needed for a fast-growing Commodities & Energy Trading firm that has more than doubled its technology team over the past 24 months. The business trades a wide range of energy products, having recently adopted in-house technology development over the past two years to expand into new markets including Power, Oil, Gas, and broader energy derivatives.

About the Role

As a Senior C# Engineer, you will take a hands-on role in:

  • System design
  • Architecture
  • Delivery of front-office trading systems

This is a senior individual contributor position focused on engineering excellence rather than line management. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with the Head of Development & Architecture to:

  • Understand business requirements
  • Shape technical solutions
  • Deliver robust and scalable systems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
