Senior C# .NET Developer | Market Data Platform | £750 inside IR35 | Financial Services Trading
A leading energy trading firm, currently undergoing a major greenfield technology transformation following a phenomenal first half of the year, is looking to hire a Senior C#.NET Developer to join their Technology team.
This is an opportunity to work on the complete rebuild of a business-critical Market Data Platform, replacing an existing Oracle-based solution with a modern, scalable, event-driven architecture built on .NET Core.
As a Senior C# .NET Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing the next generation of the firm's market data capabilities. You'll be responsible for integrating data from ZEMA, building highly performant services to capture, process and distribute real-time pricing data across the trading estate.
Working closely with architects, traders and technology teams, you'll be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, helping shape the future architecture while delivering high-quality, scalable software using modern engineering practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
