Senior Cardiac Physiologist (Clinical Educator)

Senior Cardiac Physiologist – Full Time, Permanent

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent

Classification: Health Professional Level 4 (PN 65154)

Salary: $127,597 – $141,511 (plus 12.5% superannuation) Location: The Canberra Hospital, Garran Section: Cardiology Closing Date: 23 July 2026

About the Role

The Cardiology Department is seeking a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join the Allied Health team. You will work within the cardiology leadership group, focusing primarily on staff development, training, and mentoring while delivering high-level diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac physiology services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support optimal clinical outcomes by applying specialised expertise across diagnostic and monitoring services
  • Work within a high-output service that includes cardiovascular catheterisation laboratories, an electrophysiology lab, and a non-invasive testing cohort—including an allied health-lead cardiac device program
  • Provide clinical leadership and mentorship, guiding colleagues based on gold-standard practice
  • Collaborate closely with the Allied Health Manager (Cardiac Physiology) to ensure quality service delivery
  • Contribute to CHS’s Clinical Measurement Science (CMS) vision, enabling compassionate, team-based care across the cardiac, neurophysiology, respiratory, and sleep sciences disciplines
