Senior Cardiac Physiologist – Cardiac Invasive Services
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiology Department at Barts Health NHS Trust. Based primarily at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, the successful candidate will work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive cardiology services, with cross-site working across the Trust as required.
Responsibilities
The role will involve supporting the day-to-day delivery of cardiac investigations and procedures, including:
- Cardiac catheter laboratory procedures
- Cardiac rhythm management pathways
- Device follow-up clinics
- A range of non-invasive diagnostic tests
The successful applicant will also contribute to:
- Service development
- Quality improvement initiatives
- Training and supervision of junior staff and trainees
Requirements
PLEASE NOTE: This vacancy is recruiting for 3 roles:
- 1 permanent full-time role
- 1 fixed term 12 months full-time role
- 1 fixed term 12 months part-time (22.5 hours) role
The fixed term posts are for Maternity cover.
Applicants should be competent in non-invasive cardiac investigations and have experience working within a cardiac catheter laboratory environment. Experience in cardiac rhythm management, including pacemaker, ICD and CRT follow-up, would be advantageous. Candidates working towards independent practice in device therapies and BHRS accreditation are encouraged to apply.
