About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist Care Homes. Each member of our team understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll:

  • Lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in:
    • Providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
    • Administering medication.
  • Communicate with residents and families with kindness and empathy—whether guiding someone with mobility aids, assisting with meals, or supporting end-of-life care.
  • Maintain accurate records of care services delivered.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships within your team.

HC One values qualifications and experience, but above all, we seek professionals who embody compassion, positivity, and dedication. Ideally, you’ll have:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
