Role Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for caring for our residents with the same level of care and attention you would give to your own family, addressing their Physical, Psychological, and Social needs. Your duties will include assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and meal assistance. You will also manage the medication round and lead the shift.
We welcome applications from those with previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker, or Community Support Worker. Full training is provided, and we also welcome candidates without previous senior experience but who have a passion for care and a valid qualification.

About You
We’re looking for kind and caring people who want a job where they can really make a difference to people’s lives. You’ll also need:
- Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or care certificate (training provided, so these are desirable not essential)
- Previous experience working in a Care Home environment (desirable but not essential)
- Experience of leading a team
- A committed and organized approach
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts

Other Duties
- Attend Staff Meetings
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs, demands of the home and participate in appropriate training and encourage and support staff in their development and training
- Ensure safeguarding responsibility, develop understanding and skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support
- Adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies at all times
- Provide evidence of any untaken training
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment
- Complete all training as determined by the home
