Senior Care Assistant
About The Role
Senior Care Assistant • HC One (Night shift, 33 hours/week)
This dynamic role focuses on providing kind, personalised care in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. You’ll create meaningful relationships with residents—listening to their stories, maintaining their dignity, independence, and security while driving high-standard care across your team.
As a Senior Care Assistant, your key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering person-centred care that enhances residents’ daily lives.
- Collaborating with Registered Nurses and Care Managers to deliver physical/mental stimulation, recreational activities, and medication support.
- Training a team of Care Assistants, ensuring they uphold standards of kindness, professionalism, and care.
- Maintaining accurate records of resident care while forging strong professional relationships.
- Safeguarding—recognising signs of potential abuse, harm, or neglect, and knowing how to report concerns.

Requirements & Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Level 2 Diploma/QNVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent) with a passion for pursuing a Level 3 qualification.
- Experience in person-centred care planning, particularly dementia care.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills—naturally warm, empathetic, and great communicators.
- Strong record-keeping and time-management capabilities.
- A commitment to safeguarding training and protocols.
Subject to experience/qualifications, candidates will receive pay based on two bands:
- Skilled Support Worker rate
- Skilled Senior Rate
