Senior Care Assistant
Senior Care Assistant – Westbourne Tower Care Home, Bournemouth
Shift Details
3 shifts per week, 0700–1930, including alternate weekends.
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at Westbourne Tower Care Home, you’ll work alongside our Care team to deliver high-quality, personalised care in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting residents with their personal care needs while maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Monitoring residents' wellbeing, documenting changes in care plans, and ensuring adjustments are made to meet evolving needs.
- Engaging in person-centred care planning, implementing, and reviewing strategies monthly.
- Assisting with resident medication management under supervision.
- Conducting staff supervisions and supporting colleague development where necessary.
- Acting as a key point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and healthcare professionals while addressing concerns appropriately.
- Ensuring reasonable requests are met and complaints are escalated as needed.

About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll embody our values of caring, respect, honesty, and accountability in everything you do.
Requirements
- A Level 3 NVQ in Care (or equivalent) for working in care homes.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A positive, supportive attitude towards residents and colleagues.
- The ability to remain flexible and responsive to diverse care responsibilities.
