# Senior Care Assistant – Kindness at the Core
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the heart of everything you do—touching every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist Care homes. Every team member believes our residents are people with their own stories, and this role lets you make a meaningful impact by delivering care with dignity, independence, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement personalised care plans to support residents’ unique needs.
- Lead a team of Care Assistants, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Provide hands-on assistance, from teaching proper use of mobility aids to supporting end-of-life care needs.
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses and Care Managers to deliver physical and mental stimulation through activities.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate care records.
- Foster strong relationships within the team and with residents/families.
Ideal Skills & Qualifications
- Level 2 Diploma/S/NVQ in Adult Social Care (or equivalent) with potential progression to Level 3.
- Background in person-centred care planning and dementia care.
- Exceptional communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to safe record-keeping and time management.
