Senior Care Assistant
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s individual needs.
- Build strong relationships with residents and their families to ensure their preferences are respected.
- Lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and mentoring colleagues.
- Provide physical and mental stimulation through social, recreational, and life-ТО activities.
- Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in medication administration, health checks, and end-of-life care.
- Ensure accurate and thorough record-keeping of care delivered.
- Support and adhere to safeguarding policies, recognizing signs of abuse, neglect, or harm, and escalating concerns as required.
- Maintain proactive communication with residents, families, and colleagues with compassion and dignity.
Ideal Candidate Skills & Qualifications
- A Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) in Adult Social Care (progression toward Level 3 qualification is encouraged).
- Experience in person-centred care planning, particularly with older adults and dementia.
- Exceptional soft skills—natural warmth, empathy, patience, and the ability to relate genuinely to people.
- Strong record-keeping and organisational abilities.
- Willingness to learn and develop through training opportunities.
- Commitment to inclusivity, safeguarding, and continuous improvement.
