About Thatcham Court
Thatcham Court is a purpose-built dementia care home dedicated to caring for adults living with dementia, from early onset to more complex end-of-life needs. The home provides all types of dementia care including nursing, residential, Parkinson's and short-stay care. It offers an assessment within 48 hours and, in some cases, welcomes the resident the same day.

Role Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:
- Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit
- Support with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping
- Drive and manage a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams
- Help with training and supervision of new staff members
- Build relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
- Assist residents with a range of personal care duties
Key Skills / Qualifications
- Completed / working towards an NVQ3 in care
- Motivated, positive, and great interpersonal skills
- Enjoy working in a close-knit team
- Previous experience of the role and knowledge of its rewards and challenges
- Passion for making a real difference to people’s lives
