Senior Support Worker - New Care Home Stallington House, Swaffham, Norfolk
One of UK’s leading healthcare providers is opening a state-of-the-art, purpose-built care home in the Swaffham, Norfolk area. We are now recruiting for a committed Senior Support Worker to join our team and help build an exceptional care experience for residents.
About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position (36 hours per week on a shift pattern), offering a chance to work in a cutting-edge, resident-centred environment. The care home will provide:
- Residential care
- Dementia care
- Respite care
- Convalescence support
Each resident will receive tailored, personalised care in a comfortable and supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Support Worker, you will:
- Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
- Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals of staff
- Contribute to care planning and mentor support workers
- Act as a trusted point of contact for relatives, prospective residents, and enquiries
- Ensure continuous, high-quality care via regular assessments and updates
- Administer medication in line with policies and procedures
- Maintain and update resident care plans and documentation
Requirements
Essential
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
Preferred
- Proven experience working in a care setting
- Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A genuine passion for compassionate care
