What Does the Day of a Senior Care Assistant Look Like?

As a naturally caring and compassionate individual, you will:

  • Deliver great quality, person-centred care to all residents.
  • Hold a relevant Health and Social Care qualification and have experience in the Care Industry.
  • Supervise and motivate Care Assistants, functioning efficiently as a team member.
  • Assist residents in all aspects of their care needs (physical, emotional, and spiritual).
  • Provide support and guidance to family members.
  • Collaborate with trained Nurses and Unit Managers to lead and develop staff members.
  • Engage in day-to-day activities and provide companionship to residents.
  • Maintain good communication and foster effective relationships with team members.
  • Report on the wellbeing of residents and liaise with GPs and support managers.

Requirements

  • A current SVQ Level 3 qualification (mandatory).
