Senior Care Assistant

Senior Carer (Maternity Cover) – Full-Time

Location: Bluebell House, Westward Ho!

At Bluebell House, we are part of the great Stonehaven team, offering a home-from-home environment for both our residents and carers alike. We pride ourselves on our ‘Investors in People’ accreditation and are recognised as one of the ‘Top 20 Care Homes in the UK’. Our advanced computerised care planning enables our team to provide high-quality, efficient care—giving you more time to focus on what you do best.

We are now looking for a fully-trained and passionate Senior Carer to join us in a full-time maternal cover role.

  • Build meaningful relationships with residents while upholding the highest standards of care

  • Lead by example with a friendly, compassionate approach and a strong commitment to improving residents’ quality of life
  • Assess and respond to the individual needs of each resident with creativity and professionalism

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Providing personal care, ensuring dignity and comfort for all residents
  • Supporting residents with mobility, daily activities, and Adriovima activities, adapting care to suit individual requirements
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in residents’ health, wellbeing, or behaviour to senior care staff
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain accurate, up-to-date care plans using our computerised system
  • Promoting independence and engagement, encouraging participation in social and recreational activities
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all residents
  • Responding to emergencies promptly and protocol with the help of colleagues and senior staff

Requirements

  • Already possess the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available for this role)
  • Strong experience as a Senior/Lead Carer, with proven expertise in England’s Care Act
  • Compassionate, reliable, and flexible with a commitment to continuous learning
  • Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism in supporting vulnerable adults
  • Willingness to participate as part of the team, actively contributing to a culture of excellence
