About The Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Senior Care Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive dementia and elderly care service based in Lancaster.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Care Assistant who is looking for regular, consistent hours while maintaining the flexibility of a casual contract.

You will play a key role in supporting residents to live with dignity, independence, and choice, while working alongside a dedicated care team to deliver high-quality person-centred care.

Due to increased staffing requirements, we are urgently seeking reliable and compassionate Senior Care Assistants who can provide exceptional standards of care and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality person-centred care to elderly residents
  • Supporting individuals living with dementia and age-related conditions
  • Assisting residents with personal care, mobility, and daily activities
  • Supporting and guiding care staff during shifts
  • Completing care records and documentation accurately
  • Promoting dignity, respect, independence, and choice
  • Supporting with medication administration where trained and authorised
  • Following safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety procedures
  • Escalating any concerns appropriately to senior staff members

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working within elderly care or dementia care
  • Experience working as a Senior Care Assistant or similar role
  • A good understanding of person-centred care practices
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • The ability to support colleagues and work effectively within a team
  • A caring, professional, and reliable approach
  • A commitment to delivering excellent standards of care
