Senior Care Assistant
** Senior Support Worker – Full-Time Permanent Role**
An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers, working at a new nursing and residential care home in Weymouth, Dorset. The home is located in one of England’s most beautiful seaside towns and is set to open soon.
Job Requirements
Essential
- An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Support Worker, your role will include:
- Recognising and facilitating the daily needs of residents
- Conducting formal supervisions and appraisals
- Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
- Promoting the services offered to relatives, prospective residents, and enquirers
- Updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
- Making and reporting realistic assessments to ensure continuity of care
- Administering medication to residents in line with policies and procedures

Preferred Qualities

- Proven experience in a care setting
- Strong ability to work as part of a team player
