Senior Care Assistant – Contract role
£14.99 per hour 24.5 – 49 hours per week Paid PVG/DBS, pension and uniform provided 5.6 weeks’ annual leave (full-time contract)
About Yarnley House Care Home
Our brand-new luxury service is located in the charming village of Crow, near Ringwood. We provide premium residential, dementia, nursing and respite care for 72 residents. Due to our ongoing success and growth, we are seeking to expand our Senior Care Team.
Role Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will:
- Guide and support your team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care that makes a meaningful difference to residents.
- Oversee care delivery during your shift, ensuring it is well-organised, consistent and of exceptional standards.
- Provide hands-on care while also:
- Managing medication administration.
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing.
- Responding to any changes, ensuring safe and appropriate service delivery.
- Maintain accurate care records.
- Collaborate closely with:
- Colleagues
- Families
- Healthcare professionals
- to guarantee clear communication and continuity of care.

⚠️ Candidates must be available to work alternate weekends.
Requirements & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum, NVQ Level 3 desirable).
- Ability to work towards NVQ Level 3 if not currently qualified.
- Essential: Experience in medication administration with competency verified.
- Beneficial: Previous experience supporting or leading a care team.
- Essential soft skills:
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- A caring, compassionate, professional approach.
