Senior Care Assistant

Senior Care Assistant – Join Our Family to Care Like One

We’re looking for a Senior Care Assistant to deliver exceptional care to our residents, treating them like family. You’ll support their physical, psychological, and social needs while personally making a profound difference to their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care, including:

    • Assisting with personal hygiene (bathing, washing)
    • Aiding in dressing and undressing
    • Supporting meals and hydration
    • General mobility and movement support
  • Lead shift operations with responsibility for administering medication rounds

  • Foster a psychologically compassionate and socially engaging environment for residents

  • Team leadership: Experience of managing, mentoring, or leading a team will give you an advantage


About You

We’re seeking warm, empathetic individuals with a genuine desire to improve lives. While experience is beneficial, passion for care and willingness to learn are just as valued.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • preferably a Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience

  • Note: Full training and a care certificate provided, so no prior experience is essential

  • Former roles such as:

    • Senior Care Assistant
    • Care Giver
    • Home Care Worker
    • Community Support Worker

Key Requirements

✔ Team leadership – Ability to guide and support your team ✔ Safeguarding commitment – Protecting vulnerable adults with diligence ✔ Whistleblowing awareness – Understanding and adhering to safe reporting protocols ✔ Wellbeing focus – Active participation in safeguarding training

✔ Organisational skills – meeting deadlines, attendance at staff meetings ✔ Communication expertise – clear verbal and written interaction ✔ Flexibility – willingness to work shifts as required


Additional Duties

  • Compliance & Coaching: Uphold safeguarding policies, fire safety/measures, and complete mandatory training
  • Mentorship: Encourage team development and provide support
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate personal and professional growth by participating in training
