Senior Care Assistant - Contract Role
Our impressive 68-bedded care facility provides residents with exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care in a luxury setting.
Job Details
- Hourly Rate: £15.00 per hour
- Contract Hours: 44 hours per week
- Benefits: PVG scheme clearance paid for, pension contribution, uniform provided, 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on full-time contract)
Role Overview
As Senior Care Assistant, you will:
- Guide and support your team in delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care, making a real difference daily.
- Ensure the smooth running of your shift, maintaining organised, consistent and high-standard care delivery.
- Provide hands-on care, including overseeing medication administration.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond promptly to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
- Maintain accurate care records and collaborate with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals for clear communication and care continuity.

Key Skills & Experience
- SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum requirement), with Level 3 desirable or commitment to upskilling.
- Medication administration training, with competency certification essential.
- Experience supporting or leading a care team (beneficial but not mandatory).
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
