Senior Support Worker – Exceptional Nursing Home (Dementia Care)

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Support Worker to join one of the UK’s leading healthcare providers in a fabulous seaside nursing home located in Christchurch, Dorset.

About the Role

This dedicated nursing home specialises in nursing and dementia care, offering a supportive and compassionate environment for residents and their families.

You must hold a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care to be considered for this position.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Support Worker, your role will include:

  • Recognising and facilitating the daily needs of all residents
  • Conducting formal supervisions and appraisals
  • Contributing to care planning and coaching junior support workers
  • Taking an active professional role in promoting services to relatives, prospective residents, and enquirers
  • Participating in updating and writing care plans, and maintaining resident documentation
  • Assessing each resident’s needs realistically to ensure continuous, high-quality care
  • Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
