Bank Senior Care Assistant – Barchester Care Home
About the Role
This is a bank 0hrs contract, offering a casual, part-time role with flexible working hours. As a Bank Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester Care Home, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents while:
- Supervising and inspiring a team of Care Assistants, working alongside the Deputy General Manager
- Supporting the clinical team in specialised areas like:
- Medication management
- Care assessments
- Developing and reviewing care plans
- Upholding the dignity and preferences of residents in a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment

About You
To excel in this role, we’re looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 or an Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care (essential)
- Critical knowledge of clinical care for elderly residents
- Warm-hearted, compassionate individuals who thrive on delivering individualised care
- A commitment to fostering a supportive and aspirational workplace—many of our Senior Care Assistants progress into roles such as:
- Care Practitioner
- Regional Carer
- Nursing
