Senior Care Assistant - Care Home
About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. Your role will involve:
- Supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager
- Supporting the clinical team in specific areas, such as:
- Medication
- Assessments
- Care plans
- Care reviews
Like everyone here, as a Senior Care Assistant, you'll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents while contributing to creating an environmental atmosphere that's warm, welcoming and vibrant.

About You
To join us as a Senior Care Assistant, you should have:
- An NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
- Specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly
We're looking for a candidate who:
- Is warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed
- Can provide individualised care and support
You will have access to ongoing training opportunities, so your career progression is limitless. Many Senior Care Assistants advance to roles such as:
- Care Practitioner
