Day Senior Care Assistant

Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Service: Astley View Care Home

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00 per hour + Overtime paid at £16.50 per hour

Annual Salary equivalent: £30,030 per annum

Hours: 8am - 8pm, on a two-week rolling rota:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

To ensure consistency in our care delivery, applicants must already have the Right to Work in the UK for a minimum of 18 months from their agreed start date.

Evermore Care is seeking dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our new service, Astley View Care Home, in Chorley. This is an exciting opportunity to support our management team by guiding our amazing team of Care Assistants in the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care to our residents.

About the Role:

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will oversee and guide the care team, ensuring the high standards of care we are proud about enrich the daily lives of our residents. You will be responsible for setting the benchmark for amazing care, administering medication, observing changes in residents' conditions, and directing appropriate care practices. You will be an advocate for outstanding person-centred care, maintaining professionalism, and will liaise confidently with other healthcare professionals.

Experience Required:

  • Proven leadership or mentoring experience in an elderly care or dementia care setting.
  • Experience in providing outstanding person-centred care.
  • Achieved or working towards NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding vulnerable adults’ policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create or update care plans in line with residents’ needs and preferences.
  • Follow professional standards and adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations set by the Care Quality Commission.
