Senior Care Assistant

Senior Care Assistant

About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is the foundation of your work. It shapes our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, where every resident is valued as an individual with their own stories and needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and implement care-focused activities that foster security, dignity, and independence.
  • Develop personalised care plans, working closely with residents and families.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants, ensuring excellence in care standards and supporting professional development.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing both physical and mental stimulation—whether through activities, medication administration, or end-of-life support.
  • Maintain accurate records of care delivery and build collaborative relationships with colleagues.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • A Level 2 Diploma/SVNQ in Adult Social Care (or interest in progressing to Level 3).
  • Experience in person-centred care planning, especially for those with dementia.
  • A natural ability to build rapport—your warmth and energy matter most.
  • Strong record-keeping skills and time management.

At the heart of this role is communication, kindness, and proactive problem-solving for residents, families, and colleagues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
