St Martins Care are recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to join their busy Residential Care Home at Park View.
We seek an experienced care professional with expertise in medication management and CQC compliance. About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Care Delivery
- Place residents at the heart of care, ensuring their preferences and wishes enhance their wellbeing.
- Supervise staff to ensure efficient service operation.
- Champion residents’ welfare, adhering to safeguarding best practices.
Working with Others
- Build collaborative relationships with colleagues to maximise resident opportunities.
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams, loved ones, and external agencies.
- Maintain open communication with family members.
Leading by Example
- Seek professional growth opportunities.
- Act as a role model for colleagues and a trusted representative for St Martins Care.
- Maintain professionalism, politeness, and reasonableness at all times.

Requirements & Skills
Essential Criteria
Qualifications
- Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Level 3 Medication training
- Good English (written and verbal)
Core Skills & Responsibilities
- Maintain care plans and records compliant with service policies, submitting audits as required.
- Use strong communication skills to engage with residents, colleagues, and stakeholders regarding their needs.
- Solve problems effectively to address resident needs, adapt to situations, and escalate concerns requiring protection.
- Assist residents with daily living tasks as per care plans (e.g., bathing, eating, grooming, toileting).
- Supervise staff during residental activities to ensure safe and quality-assisted care.
- Administer medication strictly following service policies.
Experience
- Proven experience in a care/hospitality environment.
