Senior Care Assistant - Nights (Rowan Court Care Home, Newcastle-under-Lyme)

About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support the Care Team in delivering high-quality personal care—fostering a safe, compassionate, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for both residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Wellbeing Monitoring: Track changes in each resident’s condition, update care plans, and implement any new needs.
  • Person-Centred Care: Actively participate in care planning, including implementation, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
  • Medication Support: Assist residents with their medication requirements.
  • Staff Development: Provide guidance through staff supervisions and support their professional growth.
  • Communication Hub: Act as the primary point of contact for residents, their families, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
  • Complaint Resolution: Ensure reasonable requests are addressed and escalate concerns or complaints.

About You

To excel in this role, you must align with our core values: caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 in Care (or an equivalent qualification for care homes).
  • Have at least 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing).
  • Positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Strong capacity to be responsive, flexible, and adaptable to varied responsibilities.
