About The Role
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to work alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, assessing any changes in care needs, ensuring updates to care plans, and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborating in person-centred care planning, including implementation, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication needs.
- Conducting staff supervision and mentoring colleagues as required.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for:
- Residents and their relatives/visitors
- Health and social care professionals involved in resident care Ensuring reasonable requests are met and complaints/all concerns are escalated.
About You
To succeed in this role, you must embody Avery’s core values: caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
✔ Possession of an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care, suitable for care home settings. ✔ 2+ years’ experience in a similar care environment. ✔ Strong ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. ✔ A positive attitude, committed to supporting residents and mentoring staff. ✔ Flexibility and responsiveness to take on a variety of responsibilities when required.
