Senior Care Assistant - Nights | Alder House Care Home | Avery Healthcare (Nottinghamshire)

We’re seeking a warm, caring, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) in our Alder House Care Home (Nottinghamshire).


About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll work closely with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, fostering a safe, compassionate, inclusive, and innovative environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, identifying changes in needs, and ensuring care plans are updated accordingly.
  • Developing and following person-centred care plans, including implementation, monthly evaluations, and adjustments.
  • Assisting residents with medication management and ensuring accuracy.
  • Conducting staff supervisions and supporting professional development as needed.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for residents, their relatives, visitors, and healthcare professionals, addressing requests and escalating concerns.
  • Ensuring Communication and record-keeping are clear, consistent, and compliant.

About You

To excel in this role, you’ll embody our core values: caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable.

The ideal applicant must:

  • Hold an NVQ 3 in Care (or equivalent) for elderly care.
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
  • Display strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Show a positive, nurturing, and proactive attitude towards residents and colleagues.
  • Be responsive and adaptable to diverse responsibilities.
