About The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, your core responsibility will be to support and collaborate with the care team, ensuring high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the well-being of each resident, noting any changes that impact their care plans. Update records as needed to reflect evolving needs.
  • Engage in person-centred care planning, including implementation, monthly monitoring, and evaluations.
  • Assist residents with medication requirements.
  • Conduct staff supervisions and provide support for professional development.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between residents, relatives, visitors, and healthcare professionals, ensuring timely response to requests and escalation of concerns/complaints.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A compassionate attitude, particularly when supporting residents and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to a diverse range of responsibilities.
