Senior Care Assistant Nights - Cheadle Grange
Location: Cheadle Grange, 263a Edgeley Road, Stockport
Salary: £14.33 per Hour

Role Overview
We are seeking a committed and experienced Senior Care Assistant Nights to join our night-time care team. This role is pivotal to ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our residents through attentive and compassionate care during the night hours. As a senior member of the night team, you will support fellow care assistants, liaise with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the smooth running of the home overnight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents during night shifts, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Supervise and support care assistants, offering guidance and leadership to maintain excellent standards.
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team or management.
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with care plans and legal guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including care notes, incident reports, and handover documentation.
- Ensure the safety and security of residents throughout the night, responding quickly to any emergencies or calls for assistance.
- Promote a calm, respectful, and caring atmosphere within the home during overnight hours.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support residents’ individual needs and preferences.

Qualifications And Experience
- Previous experience working in a senior care assistant role, preferably within a residential or nursing care setting.
- A recognised qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of care practices, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to lead and motivate night care staff effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine passion for improving people’s lives.
- Willingness to undertake further training and development as required.
