The Role: Senior Care Assistant
Location: Ruby Lodge Care Home, Sowerby, Thirsk Accommodation: 69 luxurious residents cherished with personalised, compassionate care in a serene environment.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll champion person-centred living:
Key Responsibilities
- Nurture emotional well-being and social engagement of residents
- Accurately administer medications in line with prescribed care plans
- Facilitate meal support, ensuring hydration and dietary needs are met
- Mentor junior staff, fostering culture and teamwork
- Plan and implement bespoke care support plans
- Lead and supervise teams to deliver outstanding care (within documented procedures)

About You
We seek dynamic, empathetic professionals passionate about creating life-enriching environments for those in our trusted care. Join us on this journey with these attributes:
- Proven experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Care Team Leader
- Warm, supervisory and empathetic personality
- Clinical competence in medication administration
- Strong relationships and listening skills with clients and their families
- Evidence of leadership, or commitment to earning an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Elite English (verbal & written) communication skills
