Senior Care Assistant
Senior Care Assistant – Dementia, Nursing, and Specialist Care HC One
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the centre of your work. You’ll support residents – individuals with stories, choices, and dignities to uphold – across dementia, nursing, residential, and specialist care homes. Your role will involve planning and delivering compassionate care to foster security, dignity, and independence, while personalising care plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
as a team leader, your responsibilities include:
- Guiding a team of Care Assistants to maintain exceptional care standards
- Supporting essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, including assistance with mobility (e.g., walking frames) and end-of-life care
- Administering medication under the guidance of Registered Nurses and Care Managers
- Recording accurate care observations and building stronger team relationships
Ideal but not essential qualifications: A completed Level 2 Diploma/S/NVQ in Adult Social Care or equivalent background in person-centred care planning, particularly for residents with dementia. Progression to Level 3 Adult Social Care is encouraged.

- Energetic, empathetic listener and comfortably sustained in positive interactions
- Adept record-keeping and time management
- Deep commitment to clients’ dignity and rapport-building in all communications
