Senior Support Worker – Permanently Full-Time Role
Based in Woolverstone, Ipswich
About the Role
An outstanding care home, partnering with Dementia Care Matters, seeks a committed Senior Support Worker to play a vital role in delivering exceptional care. As a provider recognised among UK’s leading healthcare organisations, we empower staff to create an environment where residents can live fulfilling lives.
**You will need to hold a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Support Worker, your core duties will include:
- Recognising and supporting the daily needs of residents
- Conducting formal supervisions and appraisals, ensuring professional development standards
- Contributing to care planning, mentoring and coaching support workers
- Taking an active, customer-facing role—promoting care services to relatives, prospective residents and general enquiries
- Updating and writing care plans (including resident documentation)
- Assessing and reporting realistic care needs, supporting continued high standards
- Administering medication in accordance with established policies and procedures

Essential Experience & Skills
- Professional experience in a care setting (preferably with Senior roles)
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal
- Compassionate attitude, with a genuine desire to care for others
- Ability to function as part of a strong team player

- Hourly rate: £14.45
- Annual salary: £27,050.40
- Hours: 36 hours per week, covering night shifts (permanent, full-time role)
