Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Care professional to join our dedicated team at Home Instead Doncaster for a weekend role. If you're passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting others in the industry, this role is for you!

Salary: Block payment £300 per weekend (£15.00 per hour)

Hours per week: 20 hours per weekend (10 hours each day, between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM). Working every other weekend.

Location: Doncaster

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emergency Cover: Act as a standby to cover care in emergency situations, ensuring continuity of care and safety for our clients.
  • Quality Assurance: Complete regular checks to maintain high standards of care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Competency Checks: Conduct competency checks with care professionals, ensuring all team members meet required standards.
  • Care Plans and Assessments: Review and provide feedback on client care plans and assessments, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflect the best possible care.
  • Support Visits: Undertake client visits as needed to support both care recipients and the care team.
  • Mentoring and Support: Offer guidance, mentoring, and support to new care professionals, helping them settle into their roles and develop their skills.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience in community home care
  • Excellent knowledge of care quality assurance processes and standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to mentor and support less experienced colleagues
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and proactive approach to care
  • Flexible and able to cover emergency situations at short notice
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Driver with access to their own transport
