About the Role
This is a full-time Senior Care Assistant vacancy (44 hours per week) at HC One, where kindness will be at the core of every action.
You will work across Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care, ensuring every resident feels valued as an individual with personal stories, needs, and aspirations.
Your role will encompass:
- Care planning and delivery – Ensuring residents experience security, dignity, and independence through personalised, high-standard care.
- Team leadership – Supervising a team of Care Assistants, maintaining rigorous care standards and fostering a kind, supportive team culture.
- Patient interaction – Engaging in activities such as mobility support (e.g., walking frame assist), end-of-life care, and family communication, always prioritising kindness.
- Collaboration with professionals – Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in physical and mental stimulation (e.g., recreational activities) and medication administration.
- Recording and relationships – Maintaining accurate care documentation and building trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and improve care plans that reflect residents’ unique needs.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, including abuse/neglect awareness and training.
- Promote mental and physical wellbeing through structured engagement (e.g., activities, meals).
- Represent HC-One’s values—kindness, inclusivity, and person-centred care.

Requirements
Ideal Qualifications & Experience
- Level 2 Diploma/S/NVQ in Adult Social Care (or preparation for Level 3 qualification).
- Experience in person-centred care planning and caring for individuals with dementia.
Essential Skills & Mindset
- A natural ability to connect with people – compassion, patience, and advocacy.
- Strong record-keeping and organisational skills.
- Effective communication—kindness in every interaction (with residents, co-workers, families).
- Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
