Senior Care Worker – Quantum Care

About the Role Quantum Care is a not-for-profit company dedicated to delivering high-quality care services for over 2,000 older people across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, and Essex. An exciting opportunity has arisen in one of our homes for a Senior Care Worker to join our team and help provide the best possible care, including support, maintaining dignity, and assisting residents to enjoy their daily lives.

Role Overview

Job Title: Senior Care Assistant Employment Type: Full-Time Working Pattern: Weekends and Weekdays Required

Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Worker, you’ll take on a crucial leadership role, with key responsibilities including:

  • Leading and overseeing a designated residential care unit
  • Reviewing and updating care plans for residents
  • Providing personal care to residents (e.g., assistance with daily activities and well-being)
  • Administering medication in line with safety protocols
  • Organising and facilitating social activities to enhance residents’ quality of life

Essential Requirements

  • A qualification in Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (essential)
  • Substantial experience working with older people in a residential care setting
  • A demonstrated passion for leadership and delivering outstanding care
  • A genuine commitment to maintaining dignity, support, and independence for residents

Desirable (Bonus Asset)

  • A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or a willingness to work towards attaining it)
  • Proven experience in developing or implementing care strategies
