Senior Carer – Barchester Care Home
Responsibilities
As a Residential Senior Carer at our Barchester care home, you will:
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care for residents by addressing their individual needs.
- Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervision, and delegating duties during shifts.
- Assist with medication administration and ordering, while reviewing and updating resident care plans.
- Collaborate with GPs, district nursing teams, and family members to support resident health and well-being.
- Maintain a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment where residents’ dignity and preferences are always respected.

About You (Requirements & Qualities)
- ** NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care**
- Previous experience in residential care, preferably in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Demonstrated team leadership skills and the ability to make decision-making judgments to support residents’ well-being.
- A compassionate, warm-hearted, and dedicated attitude, prioritising individualised care.
- Strong communication with families, care teams, and medical professionals.
