Bank Residential Senior Carer at Barchester Care Home

About the Role

As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you'll look after the varied needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of care staff, including:
    • Training and supervising staff
    • Delegating duties during shifts
  • Supporting with:
    • Administering and ordering medication
    • Reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments
    • Liaising with GP(s), district nursing teams, and resident family members

As a Residential Senior Care Assistant, you will uphold the dignity and preferences of residents while contributing to a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment.

About You

To join us as a Residential Senior Care Assistant, the successful candidate should have:

  • A NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care
  • Previous experience in a residential care setting
  • Proven team leadership skills
  • The ability to make informed decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents
  • A warm-hearted, compassionate, and committed approach to providing individualised care and support

This is a bank position maximising your flexibility—hours and days vary as cover is required for annual or sick leave.
