Senior Cash Management Specialist - 12 month FTC

Senior Cash Management Specialist

A leading investment organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Cash Management Specialist to join its Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Middle Office or Investment Operations professional with strong cash management experience to take ownership of key oversight activities within a complex investment environment. The role will involve working closely with both internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure the effective delivery of critical operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of key cash management and reconciliation activities performed by external service providers
  • Monitor and investigate cash-related exceptions, operational issues, and high-risk breaks, ensuring timely resolution
  • Develop and enhance oversight frameworks through the effective use of data, reporting, and management information
  • Work closely with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve operational queries and improve service delivery
  • Review operational processes and controls, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance oversight
  • Support the management of third-party service provider relationships, ensuring expected service levels are achieved
  • Drive process improvement and transformation initiatives across the function
  • Contribute to maintaining a strong control environment and high standards of operational excellence

Requirements

  • Proven cash management experience gained within Asset Management, Investment Management, Middle Office, or Investment Operations environments
  • Experience operating at a senior or lead level within an operational function
  • Strong understanding of cash management processes, reconciliations, custody operations, and operational controls
  • Experience overseeing outsourced providers or third-party operating models
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering process improvements and operational change initiatives
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data and management information to drive decision-making
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Understanding of investment operations and asset servicing workflows
  • Experience using investment systems and Order Management Systems; knowledge of Charles River would be advantageous
  • Exposure to automation initiatives and emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions, would be beneficial
