Some businesses look good on a CV. Others change the trajectory of it.
If you've spent the last year or two building your career in Category Marketing, this could be one of those opportunities.
We're working with one of Europe's largest food manufacturers - a business with thousands of employees, multi-billion-pound revenues and long-standing partnerships across virtually every major UK grocery retailer. Every week, millions of shoppers buy products they've produced, making this one of the most recognisable and respected names in UK food manufacturing.
This particular opportunity sits within one of their flagship retail accounts, giving you the chance to work on one of the UK's biggest supermarket categories whilst learning from an experienced commercial and category team that has an excellent track record of developing people.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The Role
The role has been created for someone who's already discovered they enjoy Category. You'll understand how to turn data into insight, be comfortable working with market and retailer data, and enjoy asking questions that help explain why shoppers buy what they do. You're probably using tools such as Circana, Nielsen or Kantar already, and whilst you may not have spent much time presenting directly to customers, that's exactly where you'd like your career to go.
What Makes This Opportunity Different
What makes this opportunity different is the exposure you'll receive. Rather than spending years purely producing reports, you'll gradually become involved in customer conversations, category reviews and commercial decision making, building the confidence and experience needed to develop into a retailer-facing Category professional.
