About the Location & Employment Terms
- Location: Leeds, LS15 8GB
- Hybrid schedule: 1–2 days in the office per week
- Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum + up to 10% annual bonus and comprehensive benefits
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Employment Type: Full time (37.5 hours per week, Mon–Fri with core hours between 09:30–16:00)

About the Role
As Senior Category Manager, you will oversee the strategic growth and management of the Lloyds Pharmacy and Pharmacy2U Online Doctor propositions. Your responsibilities include:
- Driving data-led strategies to optimise range, pricing, promotions, and commercial performance.
- Balancing customer experience, clinical access, regulatory compliance, and profitability.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Medical, Commercial, Marketing, Product, Operations, and partners to create coh eslint, patient-focused solutions.
- Leveraging insight, analytics, and market trends to identify growth opportunities, refine product portfolios, and evolve offerings in line with customer expectations and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end category strategy for Online Doctor propositions, partnering with Head of Commercial to drive growth, profitability, and market leadership.
- Lead pricing, margin, and promotional strategies to maximise commercial performance while remaining competitive and customer-centric.
- Use sales data, customer behaviour, and market trends to inform data-driven decisions and unlock new growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Clinical teams to optimise treatment approaches, support innovation, and ensure propositions align with evolving needs.
- Work with Marketing and Creative teams to launch acquisition, conversion, and engagement campaigns.
- Partner with Web Merchandising to enhance online shopping experience, improve conversions, and maximise e-commerce performance.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure train-downstock availability, minimising risk while meeting demand targets.
- Lead financial planning and P&L management in partnership with Finance, aligning sales, margins, and marketing income with budgets.
- Weekly reporting on category performance to senior stakeholders, delivering insights, trends, and actionable recommendations.
- Champion customer value, accessibility, and quality, driving initiatives for loyalty, satisfaction, and long-term retention.

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven commercial acumen with success in sales growth, margin improvement, and profitability in e-commerce or regulated retail sectors (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare).
- Hands-on experience in category management within high-complexity, regulated environments.
- Strong analytical skills—ability to interpret sales, customer, and market data to derive actionable insights.
- Experience managing e-commerce categories, knowledge of we- merchandising, conversion optimisation, and digital metrics.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Clinical, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Digital teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with flexibility, resilience, and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience maintaining relentationships with both internal teams and external partners/suppliers.
- Understanding of ethical, clinical, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliant and responsible decision-making.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with skills to analyse and present performance to senior leaders.
