Job Description
This role is a 12-Month Maternity Cover Fixed Term Contract
The Senior Category Manager for Food, Beauty & Care (FBC) will develop and execute strategies to grow the category in UK & Ireland (UKI) market. Leveraging NBCUniversal’s rich entertainment portfolio, this role will identify market opportunities, secure best-in-class licensees, negotiate agreements and deliver innovative, commercially viable product ranges that meet revenue targets. This person will report into Director F&L & FBC UKI.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement long-term growth strategies for the FBC category in UKI.
- Identify licensing opportunities and address market ‘gaps’ across food, beauty, and care segments.
- Lead complex contract negotiations, review business plans and ensure compliance with contractual deliverables.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with key licensees, including Joint Business Planning (JBPs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Partner with the Product Development (PD) team to deliver high-quality, innovative products aligned with UK consumer trends and retailer needs.
- Collaborate with the UKI Universal Theatrical Promotions team to identify partners around movie releases ensuring there is an agreed license fee/royalty and media value.
- Stay informed on UKI market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Own fiscal responsibility for annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting cycles.
- Analyse category performance by licensee and retailer; develop strategies to drive growth.
- Support brand marketing initiatives and integrate licensees into broader ATL & BTL marketing campaigns.
- Create compelling presentations to pitch and launch licensing programs.
- Maintain knowledge of UKI retail seasonality and buying cycles to optimize product placement and sell-in.
- Manage a portfolio of licensees to grow the Consumer Products business.
- Work collaboratively with counterparts in FBC across the EMEA markets.
- Evaluate licensee base to ensure optimal partnerships and category leadership.
- Strategically map out fiscal targets across existing partners, onboarding of new ones and prospective accounts.
- Responsible for managing at least one direct report within the team.

Qualifications
- FMCG background in buying, sales, marketing, or business development (retail or industry) at a Senior Manager level preferred.
- Passion for Food, Beauty & Care with strong category knowledge.
- Awareness of market trends to identify opportunities and drive growth.
- Established network with FBC A-brands and UKI retailers.
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and proven ability to deliver growth.
- Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic business environment.
