Senior Category Manager

Description
- Develop and implement category strategies to drive business growth and meet objectives.
- Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and sales data to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to ensure alignment on category plans.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence category performance.
- Line manage one direct report.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide actionable insights to maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and present category reviews and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development of promotional activities and pricing strategies to maximise profitability.
- Continuously evaluate category performance and adjust strategies as needed.

Profile
A successful Senior Category Manager should have:
- A background in buying, category management or sales from within FMCG.
- Experience working with national retailers.
- Experience managing people preferable but not essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
- A solid understanding of market trends and consumer behaviour within the FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in category management tools and software.
- A strategic mindset with a focus on achieving business objectives.
- Able to be in a London office 5 days a week.

Job Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from £55,000 to £70,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Permanent position based in London.
