About the Role
Reporting into: Genesis Team Lead (FM Recruitment)
The work involves:
- Conducting CFD simulations for front-end conceptual studies, detailed design, operational support, and decommissioning activities
- Providing calculations, technical reports, and presentations aligned with client standards
- Acting as a technical interface with key clients and marketing lead for related projects
- Representing Genesis within industry working groups and participating in multi-discipline project coordination
- Performing compliance-based CFD leadership and broader disciplinary supervision

Job Purpose
Main responsibilities include:
- Lead and coordinate CFD studies within multi-discipline projects
- Deliver CFD solutions for scope of work, design basis, and quality deliverables
- Assist in proposal development for CFD-focused projects
Key Accountabilities
Technical Execution
- Lead CFD simulation work (using proprietary software such as ANSYS CFX or in-house tools) and detailed engineering studies
- Undertake thermal and fluid system calculations
- Prepare technical notes, simulation reports, and client presentations
Client-Facing & Proposal Development
- Interface directly with clients to define requirements and communicate findings
- Engage in business development and Draft proposals for new projects
Technical Leadership & Compliance
- Supervise CFD disciplines assigned to projects
- Ensure aligned implementation of scope, standards, and QA procedures
- Guide technical execution for design, procedures, specifications, and data documentation
- Verify and check led technical activities
Typical Qualifications & Experience
- Essential:
- Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Energy systems – or equivalent qualification)
- 10+ years’ experience within upstream oil & gas, including major CO2 processes and LNG facilities
- Proficient in CFD simulations using ANSYS CFX (or 类似 advanced multi-physics codes )
- Knowledge of prediction & full analysis on steady-state models for process plants and power facilities
- Fluency in thermodynamic fluid properties, CO2 interaction phases across a range of pressures and temperatures
- Understanding of oil & gas processing utlilities (e.g., gas turbine, thermal energy systems, chemical treatment)
- Deep familiarity with permissions-to-work, decommissioning, and HSE processes
- Strong analytical and stakeholder relationship management skills

- Competency: (Preferred)
- Industry certifications (e.g., Norsok, ISO standards, or engineering licences)
- Comparative experience in risk assessment for CFD imbalances
- Some exposure to AI-inspired CFD models (incorporating automation tools)
Technical & Cultural Requirements
- Full command of UK English (written & spoken)
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Politically demonstrates intellectual curiosity & can rapidly incorporate feedback into work
- Proven history of delivering under budget and meeting sick deadlines
