Senior Change Manager
Change Manager – Senior
About the Role
Osborne Clarke are expanding their Change & Transformation function with a new Senior Change Manager role within their award-winning, international law firm. This position will focus on leading strategy, design, and delivery of change initiatives to embed transformational shifts aligned with key strategic priorities.
As a senior member of the Change Management Team, you will:
- Lead complex, cross-functional, and often international change programmes
- Ensure effective adoption and sustainability of people, process, and technology changes across the firm
- Collaborate closely with Portfolio Management Office, Business Analysis, and Programme/Project Management teams
The role is hybrid, based in Bristol or London, with travel between UK and international offices as required. We welcome applications for full-time, part-time, or flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Change Strategy & Leadership
- Develop coherent change management strategies, plans, and approaches for complex, international programmes
- Govern change activities across portfolios or functional areas, ensuring alignment with firm strategy and priorities
- Act as a subject matter expert on people, process, and technology-led change, providing strategic directions
- Coordinate and oversee change managers across related initiatives, ensuring consistency and best practice
Change Planning, Delivery & Adoption
- Design and deliver structured change interventions using established methodologies, supporting adoption and benefits realisation
- Assess impacts across teams, offices, and jurisdictions, translating findings into practical plans and interventions
- Lead initiatives that include training, communications, behavioural, and cultural shifts for long-term success
- Collaborate with Programme/Project Managers and Business Analysts on benefits realisation, risk management, and integrated project delivery
- Support the wider change portfolio, managing saturation and conflicting demands

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Identify and engage key sponsors and stakeholders at all levels of the firm, securing ongoing support for change
- Develop and deliver tailored engagement and communication plans, articulating the case for change and its impact
- Facilitate workshops, briefings, and interventions to address concerns and drive readiness for change
- Foster a culture of open communication and feedback, incorporating stakeholder insights into decision-making
Measurement, Coaching & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track meaningful change metrics to measure transition, adoption, and programme success
- Use qualitative/quantitative insights to refine interventions and promote continuous improvement
- Coach and mentor Change Managers, sharing tools, techniques, and lessons learned
- Contribute to developing a Change Management Centre of Excellence with consistent standards and methodologies
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in end-to-end change delivery, ideally in complex or professional services environments
- Line management experience with strong coaching and leadership skills
- Exceptional communication abilities – listed, presentation, interpersonal skills, and adaptability for diverse audiences
- Outstanding organisational, project planning and time management, including ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Deep understanding of individual and organisational change processes, from initial case for change to embedding new practices
- Gravitas and influence to secure stakeholder buy-in and sponsor alignment with strategic goals
- Adaptability and flexibility, able to work independently in ambiguous scenarios and respond to evolving priorities
- Curiosity and creative problem-solving, aligning change initiatives to broader business objectives
- Experience with structured change methodologies (e.g., Prosci, APMG) in international contexts
- Mastery of change management strategies at portfolio or functional area levels, with a focus on business rationale
- Qualifications or practical experience with recognised change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, APMG), though exceptions may apply for strong candidates
