An exciting opportunity has arisen to take on a leadership role for the in-patient mental health facility within Argyll and Bute.
Succoth Ward is a 16 bedded facility located within the Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care Centre in Lochgilphead.
It encompasses a remote and rural geographical area including 23 inhabited islands on the west coast of Scotland.
The successful candidate will have 24 hour responsibility for the continuing care within this facility. The successful candidate will provide leadership to a team of mental health nurses and health care assistants working within the governance framework of the Health and Social Care Partnership ensuring safe and effective clinical practice and enhancing the patient experience.

The Successful Candidate Will
- Be a registered mental health nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Educated to degree level or have equivalent evidence of continuous professional development
- Have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience in a relevant area
- Be able to demonstrate expert clinical and professional practice
- Ability to maintain professional and personal credibility across all staff groups
- Ability to lead teams, lead practice and continuous professional development
- Work effectively as part of a multi-professional team
- Computer and information literacy
