Senior Chef de Partie

About the Role

At Soho House, a Senior Chef de Partie supports the kitchen brigade in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our members and guests. You will play a key role in preparing, cooking, and presenting exceptional dishes that align with the club’s food philosophy.

Your primary responsibility is to demonstrate technical expertise, a robust understanding of kitchen operations, and a proactive approach to training, hygiene, and consistency. You will also contribute to menu development, ensure adherence to allergy procedures and dietary requirements, and act as a role model for more junior kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to the highest standards in quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering efficient and well-organised service during busy periods and events
  • Ensure full compliance with all food safety, allergy, hygiene, and health standards, including HACCP and company policies
  • Take ownership of mise en place and prep tasks, ensuring all elements are of high quality and readily available
  • Assist in training and mentoring Commis Chefs and Demi Chefs de Partie, fostering their technical skills and kitchen knowledge
  • Attend regular meetings with front- and back-of-house teams to stay informed about menu adjustments, service changes, and specials, along with daily tastings
  • Help prepare team meals as needed, taking dietary needs and variety into account
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning, improvement, and teamwork
  • Support with deep cleaning of the entire kitchen before close
  • Properly wrap and store unused items in designated areas post-service

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
